We have just learned that Acquia, the parent company of Mollom, has announced that they will no longer support or maintain the Mollom service as of April 2, 2018.
We are sorry to see this Spam fighting service go. We particularly liked the way the service worked, frequently invisibly, to block Spam submissions.
Over the coming months we will be configuring our client sites that use Mollom (and have a Quarterly Maintenance Plan) to discontinue the module/service. In its stead we will implement reCAPTCHA (a module/service we used before Mollom, and a service that has had significant improvements over the years), in addition to Honeypot (another Spam fighting module that we frequently use in conjunction with Mollom or reCAPTCHA).
